Interchangeable part numbers for this profile. A solid node is already profiled in this catalogue; a hollow node is a valid substitute that has no profile yet.

Murata 0603 100 pF C0G 50 V. Equivalent in every parameter that matters; Murata's Q is marginally higher at VHF, which is only measurable above 300 MHz.

Same part in a paper-tape pack rather than a reel. Identical device; the trap is that a paper-tape pack is not feeder-compatible, so it is a hand-assembly substitute only.

KEMET C0G 100 pF 50 V. Actually 100 pF ±5 % on C0G as well, but KEMET publishes the voltage coefficient explicitly, which is useful evidence in a design review where someone insists Class I parts have no voltage dependence.
The only prose on this page
A 100 pF C0G holds its value to ±30 ppm/°C (per Siemens Matsushita Components), has no DC-bias derating, no ageing (class II parts lose 1-2 % per decade hour), and a dissipation factor under 0.1 %. A 100 pF X7R of the same nominal value would be ±5 % at best, lose a few percent under bias and drift with time. In a 10 MHz crystal load or an anti-alias network, the C0G part is not a premium option, it is the only correct one.
For a typical 8-16 MHz crystal with a 12 pF specified load, the two load capacitors are computed as 2 x (CL - Cstray), so 2 x (12 - 3) = 18 pF each, not 100 pF. The 100 pF value is more often a filter or snubber element. Getting this wrong is the single most common reason a crystal starts 0.1 % off frequency.
50 V rating gives ample headroom on a 3.3 V or 5 V rail; the useful limit is self-resonance, which for a 0603 100 pF lands near 1.2-1.6 GHz. Below that the part behaves as a stable capacitor, above it as a 0.6 nH inductor. In a 2.4 GHz matching network the same 100 pF is nearly an inductor and must be replaced by a 0402 or 0201.

| Sourcing — Availability risk | C0G 0603 small values are a stable commodity with no allocation history, because the dielectric contains no barium titanate and therefore does not compete for the high-capacitance material lines. Lead time is effectively zero. |

| Pinout and handling | Two-terminal, non-polarised. In C0G the capacitance does not depend on voltage, frequency or age, which is exactly what makes it the reference choice in oscillators and filters — and also means there is no orientation or handling caution beyond normal MLCC care. |
